The core component of the new Integrated Drive is the industry-proven COMET Variable Vacuum Capacitor; it also includes a motor, coupler, and tube to drive the capacitor. A durable, backlash-free coupling connects the capacitor to the drive system. A bulkhead flange and adjustable end flange ensure easy mounting in the match-box.

Care is also taken of appropriate high-voltage insulation between the capacitor and the mounting flanges.

Advanced features include a memory chip that stores module information, such as capacitor type, serial number, and measurement of capacitance curves. On request an Integrated Drive as well as a micro-controller which allows high-level commands. This allows the stepping-motor to be addressed through pulse and direction signals. Additionally the Integrated Drive can be controlled through SPI, I2C, RS-232 or RS-485 interfaces to your controller board or controller system.
